FISSO Arm Support

The FISSO medical patient positioning systems were developed in close collaboration with hospitals. The comfortable handling by means of a clamping handle allows a user-friendly and safe positioning of the patient's arm. An ergonomic armrest is ensured by the use of anatomically shaped visco-elastic padding. To cover a large number of patient restraints, vertical and lateral arm support systems are available, which fit on common side rails of the operating table with the use of a universal clamp. Surgery staff confirms: «The FISSO arm support is absolutely reliable and very efficient thanks to the central quick fixation. It has become an integral part of our everyday surgery routine.»

These articulating armrests are used most often in hospitals and other healthcare environments during surgical or diagnostic procedures. Medical armrests hold the patient’s arms in a specific position to allow for surgeons and other providers to work without the arms being in the way. They also may serve to help provide comfort for patients so they don’t have to hold their arms in a certain position for longer than would be comfortable. The benefits of using such medical positioning equipment include helping patients stay calm and relaxed during their procedures and giving doctors better access to the areas of the body in need of care.

The innovative design of FISSO’s articulated arms makes them ideal for use in medical applications, where stability and accuracy are of the utmost importance. They can be secured or loosened with the turning of a single knob, meaning they can be moved into the precise position they need to be in and locked into place without need for multiple readjustments. It also ensures that there is little risk of them being jostled out of place by accident. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide stable, safe and maintenance-free performance from our equipment. We also have the capability to customize products to meet our customers’ precise needs.
