Magnetic Stimulation

Magnetic stimulation refers to the use of magnetic fields to stimulate nerves and muscles in the body. This method is often used in medical research and for the treatment of various diseases.  Magnetic stimulation is usually performed by a special device that generates a strong magnetic field. This field creates an electrical current in the tissues that can cause the nerves and muscles to be activated or inhibited. 

Some uses of magnetic stimulation include: 

  • Treatment of depression: Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a form of magnetic stimulation used to treat depression. It involves placing a coil on the scalp and creating a magnetic field that alters activity in specific areas of the brain. 
  • Pain treatment: magnetic stimulation can be used to relieve pain, especially chronic pain for which other treatments are ineffective. 
  • Treatment of neurological disorders: Magnetic stimulation can also be used to treat Parkinson’s disease, stroke, epilepsy and Alzheimer’s disease. 
  • Sports Medicine: Magnetic stimulation can also be used in sports medicine to rehabilitate injuries and improve muscle strength and performance. 

FISSO Articulated Arms in the Magnetic Stimulation

The FISSO articulated arm are used for easy and flexible positioning of the magnetic coils. All three joints can be locked and unlocked by the handle on the central joint. The arms can be mounted on the side of the trolley or on the backrest of the treatment chair.
